The plastic basket bone awl allows for you to move and pack reed easier. This smooth bone awl is excellent for lifting reed and cane ends as you weave- when you get to tight spots where your fingers don't fit. Slide it between reed to make a path for lashing or weave. Is also used to score reed when upstanding stakes. The tool is tapered and rounded. The beveled edge protects the weaving materials and your hands from damage.
