Painted Deep Hive Body for Bee Hives 10-Frame

10-Frame Deep Hive Body is constructed of commercial grade pine. It is painted with an outdoor latex white paint. Frames & foundation are sold seprateley. If you are a DIY-er, we also sell unassembled or unpainted hive bodies as well, find them here.

The hive body is also referred to a as brood chamber or simply, deep. Traditionally it is used as the the bottom brood box and often is combined with a second hive body for a double deep brood chamber. We would caution you to the weight of these boxes when full of bees and honey. They get heavy, 80-100 pounds!

Commercial grade has tight knots, small pitch pockets & small, tight cracks.
