Wax Moths will destroy the comb of a hive! The wax moth lays tiny eggs in the hive. The eggs grow into larva that travel in trails at the bottom of the cells though out the comb. They will eventually eat all the comb leaving behind a webbing. The best defense is a strong colony of bees, in which they will kill any wax moths and/or larva and carry it out of the hive.
